Watercolor demo Oct. 14 at Eastern Greenwich Civic Center

New co-president of the Art Society of Old Greenwich Dan Gravereaux will demonstrate the essentials of creating great watercolor paintings Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m., at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center (EGCC), 90 Harding Road, Old Greenwich.

Dan will discuss and demo various watercolor techniques, such as wet-on-wet and dry-brush.  He will also cover the principles of good design, color harmony, and specific effects such as how to show distance in a landscape painting.

Dan studied with watercolor artist George Sutherland, and has since become an award-winning artist.  He has shown his artwork in several group and individual exhibits. He is currently a member of ASOG’s Wednesday Painters group at the EGCC.
