GEMS Explorer Post Fundraiser a success at Joey B’s

The Greenwich EMS Explorer Post 911 high school group was hard at work waiting on customers Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Joey B’s in Cos Cob. Alongside Dominick Delfino, owner of Joey B’s, the kids and advisors had a great time spreading awareness of what the Explorer Post is, recruiting members, and raising money.

It was an extremely successful night on many levels and special thanks to Dom who is a very active member of the community and enjoys doing these types of events. 20% of the night’s bills and all tips were generously donated to the club.

The Explorer Post program is made up of high school students’ ages 14-18 that focuses on community education, leadership development, and certification as emergency medical responders or emergency medical technicians so they can volunteer on the ambulances.
