Sidewalk Art Show and Sale set for Oct. 17 and 18

The 64th annual Sidewalk Art Show and Sale, sponsored by the Art Society of Old Greenwich, takes place on Saturday, Oct. 17, and Sunday, Oct. 18, from 9-5.

An array of colorful artworks will be on exhibit outdoors along Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich. The show will include watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing/graphics, photography, pastel, mixed media and sculpture. Treat yourself to a stroll through Old Greenwich to view this lively show, which typically includes realistic and impressionist portraits, landscapes, and still lifes, as well as abstract artworks. Adding to the festivity, Sound Beach Avenue merchants offer sidewalk sales, and cafes set out tables for dining al fresco.

A special feature of this event is the Sidewalk Art Show for Young Artists, where children and teens (up to age 17) will exhibit their paintings, drawings, collages, photography and sculpture. The Sidewalk Art Show for Young Artists will be located at the Feinsod Hardware Co., 268 Sound Beach Avenue. There is no admission charged for either art show.

All artists, adults and children, are welcome to submit works of art to these non-juried shows. You do not need to be a member of the ASOG. Please see the ASOG website for submission dates, locations and entry fees, artsocietyofoldgreenwich.com.
