After school and evening activities cancelled for Greenwich Public Schools

Superintendent of Schools William McKersie has officially cancelled all Greenwich Public Schools after school and evening activities for today, Wednesday, Nov. 7. The decision was made as a result of the weather forecasts and in consultation with the Town’s Emergency Operations Center.

As the projected nor’easter nears southwest Connecticut, there is a high wind warning going into effect at 1 p.m. today for all of southern Fairfield County. The warning lasts until 4 a.m. Thursday.

North winds at 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph, are expected along the Connecticut coast and a mix of snow and rain are expected throughout the afternoon.
