Held at the waterfront home of Laurie and Peter Grauer, Family Centers’ version of South Pacific captured the true spirit of the tropics. Drawing from elements of the classic Broadway musical, co-chairs Brooke Ashforth, Laurie Grauer, Laurie Host and Susan Yonce created an evening filled with island adventure and romance.

During the event’s cocktail reception, guests sipped on Mai Tai’s and nibbled on island-inspired treats. They also enjoyed the sights and sounds of a ukulele player, and hula and traditional fire dancers.

Inside the tent, swaying palm trees, tiki carvings and festive island flowers set the tone of the evening. As guests enjoyed a three-course meal prepared by Marcia Selden Catering, they were treated to a performance of South Pacific’s most beloved musical numbers. After dinner, guests danced the night away to music by Marianne Bennett Presents Element Music.
