Author Judy Blume comes to Greenwich for sold-out event

Next Tuesday, fans of Judy Blume will be treated to an evening with the legendary author, thanks to a collaboration between JCC Greenwich & [email protected] Library. Judy Blume will discuss In the Likely Event, her new book for adults and her first novel in 17 years, which spans family, friendships, love and betrayal in its retelling of three real-life plane crashes which occurred in her hometown of Elizabeth, N.J. in 1951. Judy Blume will be interviewed by Stephanie Anderson, Head of Readers’ Services at the Darien Library. Books will be available for purchase and signing following the program.

Judy Blume, one of America’s most popular authors, is the recipient of the 2004 National Book Foundation Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters. She is the number one New York Times bestselling author of beloved books for young people, including “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret”, and novels for adult readers, including “Wifey”, “Smart Women”, and “Summer Sisters”. Together, her books have sold more than 80 million copies in thirty-two languages.

The event will be held on Tuesday, June 23, at 7 p.m., in the Greenwich Library Cole Auditorium, 101 West Putnam Avenue.
