Beachfront Bushwhack and Max's Mile postponed until Nov. 18

The Beachfront Bushwhack 5-mile cross-country run and the Max’s Mile kids run has been postponed from Nov. 11 to Nov. 18, due to damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. The event will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 18 at Tod’s Point in Old Greenwich.


The early entry fees are $20 for the Beachfront Bushwhack and $15 for Max’s Mile. The entry fees on the day of the race are $25 for the Beachfront Bushwhack and $20 for Max’s Mile. Max’s Mile is in memory of Maxwell Scotti, who passed away at the age of seven in 2009 after a courageous battle against cancer

Both events encompass cross-country running for the whole family, including leaps over hay bales and log jumps while running through secret trails and scenic beachfront paths.

The Beachfront Bushwhack/Max’s Mile event is the ninth event in the Volvo of Stamford Greenwich Cup series of 10 events. The final event of the series is the 3-mile Pathways Jingle Bell Jog at 9 a.m. on Dec. 9 at the Threads and Treads sporting goods store on 17 East Putnam Ave.
