Since 1966 First Congregational Church has presented Part I of Handel’s Messiah, the Christmas portion, concluding with the Hallelujah chorus. The community is welcome to attend this performance on Sunday, December 13, at 4 p.m., followed by a special gala reception, in the historic Meetinghouse of The First Congregational Church of Greenwich, 108 Sound Beach Avenue, Old Greenwich.

The First Church Festival Chorus, nearly 100 singers strong, is accompanied by a 20-piece chamber orchestra and professional soloists, this year including soprano Mary Ellen Callahan, mezzo soprano Abby Powell, tenor Brian Giebler, and bass Thomas Woodman, all under the direction of Dr. Craig Scott Symons, Director of Music/Organist at First Church.

Tickets are $25 (school aged children/youth free). Call the Church Office at 203-637-1791 from 9-4 daily to reserve tickets. Tickets also be available at the door. Visit fccog.org/music/handels-messiah/ for more information about the concert.
