Old Timers to recognize athletes at dinner

The Greenwich Old Timers Athletic Association will hold its 52nd Annual Sports Awards Dinner on Friday, Nov. 9 in Old Greenwich.

The annual dinner is the organization’s biggest fund-raising event of the year in support of its mission to support youth sports in Greenwich and will feature a number of local and national honorees.

This year’s local honorees are Joe Cabrera, Brian Foster, Dick Pace and Dick Steele. Former New York Mets pitcher and current SNY television analyst Ron Darling will be one of the national honorees, with others to be announced soon.

The dinner begins at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Hyatt Regency, Greenwich. Tickets, priced at $125 this year, include dinner, an open bar during the cocktail reception, door prizes and a silent auction of sports memorabilia.
