OGS Turkey Trot raises money for Greenwich Social Services

Old Greenwich Elementary School held its third annual Trot for Turkeys on Friday, Nov. 20 after school.

More than 65 kids participated. Mr. Mickel led a talk about being grateful for what we have and needing to help other families this Thanksgiving.

Afterward he led a fun warm up and took the kids outside to the field where kids trotted and gobbled like turkeys. There were turkey cut outs for kids to leave notes to the families and big jar for donations.

The event raised more than $300. The money will be donated to Greenwich Social Services.
