Becker Salon celebrates fifth birthday

Becker Salon celebrated its fifth anniversary in style earlier this month with an evening filled with food, wine and champagne at its 268 Mason Street location courtesy of Douro Restaurant and Bar.

Clients, friends and special guests enjoyed signature cocktails from Broken Shed New Zealand Vodka, anniversary cookies prepared by Le Pain Quotidien and posed for photos on the red carpet. In addition, Winston Flowers provided dramatic floral arrangements and ShelleyBelly Caricatures and Entertainment gave models a unique look with creative body paint designs.

Many guests attended to congratulate salon owner Becker Chicaiza on his success, including his very first client in Connecticut.

Mr. Chicaiza said he was very grateful to the town and to his many loyal clients. And in his continued commitment to giving back to the community, he presented a check for $1,000 to Alon Marom, director of development for corporate and community giving at Kids in Crisis. The salon’s anniversary promotion benefited the organization and over the past several years, Becker Salon has been a dedicated supporter of Kids in Crisis.

The salon has grown over the last five years, attracting a large following in Greenwich and the surrounding region. It was named one of the five top salons in town by Beauty & Style Magazine and Mr. Chicaiza has won international awards for his work.
