Moffly Media Hosts 8th annual Light a Fire Awards to rave reviews

Moffly Media presented the 8th annual Light a Fire Awards on Wednesday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day. This inspiring event celebrating our community’s nonprofit and philanthropic leaders was held at the Westport Country Playhouse in the Jason Robards Theater and was hosted by Tony Award winning actor, director and longtime Weston resident James Naughton. An elegant cocktail reception catered by Marcia Selden Catering and Event Planning accompanied by fine wines provided by Horseneck Wines preceded the awards ceremony.

The event was made possible by Community Leader Sponsors Karl Chevrolet and Barbara Zaccagnini of Coldwell Banker Real Estate, together with business sponsor Wells Fargo Advisors, George Venizelos Managing Director – Investments. A portion of the night’s ticket proceeds benefitted the Fairfield County’s Community Foundation.

Light a Fire saluted those who have gone beyond the ordinary to extraordinary in their giving back to our community. From philanthropists and volunteers to organizations helping families, women, teens, and so many others in our community, the honorees are a truly unique group.
