Junior League of Greenwich presents The Enchanted Forest

The Junior League of Greenwich presents their annual fund-raiser, The Enchanted Forest, a three-day winter holiday event from Friday, Nov. 20 to Sunday, Nov. 22, at the Greenwich Hyatt, Old Greenwich.

All proceeds support the mission of the Junior League of Greenwich and its projects.

The fund-raiser features decorated trees, gingerbread houses, children’s and family events, a Sneak Peek party and a cocktail party.

BOUTIQUE

A major part of the event is the Holiday Boutique featuring craft and specialty vendors, who sell everything from fine jewelry and home décor to women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, toys and holiday gift items.

The Holiday Boutique will be set up on Friday, Nov. 20, and there will be a “Sneak Peek” party for JLG members, volunteers, and friends.

GINGERBREAD & TREES

New for 2015  . . .  all trees are buy it now and will be available for sale starting on Friday night, Nov. 20.

Every year this event draws more than 7,000 visitors from Greenwich and surrounding areas. With wide exposure through local media, schools, and the Internet, The Enchanted Forest is a highly visible event in Greenwich and is one of the very best opportunities to promote your product or service to the Greenwich area, while helping to improve our community.

Decorate a Tree – nearly 100 exclusive trees decorated by local florists, designers, retail locations and select Junior League members. Visitors can bid on trees by silent auction all weekend.

Create a Gingerbread House – this confectionery masterpiece is a must see every year with top bakeries, restaurants, country clubs, schools and community organizations showing off their creative talent.

Become an Underwriter – sponsor one of our many areas of this weekend event.

In addition to supporting a worthy cause with a tax deductible gift, your business will gain valuable marketing exposure to local consumers. All auction donors will receive a display at bidding tables. Funds raised from The Enchanted Forest go directly toward supporting impactful community projects that are identified, designed and implemented by the Junior League of Greenwich.

CHILDREN’S GIVING SHOP

The Children’s Giving Shop at The Enchanted Forest is a child-centered area where children can shop independently for holiday gifts.

Staffed and stocked by JLG Sustainers, the children will find a wide assortment of reasonably priced gifts for family members, friends, and teachers.  The shop is filled with picture frames, candles, note cards, toys, sports items, games, gardening items, jewelry and more!

Every child is sure to find perfect gifts for all on their shopping list at The Children’s Giving Shop. High school volunteers and Sustainers assist the children to shop. All gifts purchased are wrapped and tagged so that their presents can be surprises for all who receive the gifts.

SANTA’S BREAKFAST & CLARA’S TEA

Two of our most popular events, Santa’s Breakfast and Clara’s Tea are available at the Enchanted Forest again this year!  This is a great way to carve out some quality time with your family over The Enchanted Forest weekend.

Santa’s breakfast will again include a delicious family style breakfast, live entertainment by Graham Clarke, early access to Santa photos, Boutique shopping (no lines!) and of course a special visit from the big guy himself!

At Clara’s Tea, your little ballerina’s will be treated to a special tea, a live performance by a dancer from the Nutcracker and a question/answer session with our ballerina. Festive dress highly encouraged!

FRIDAY NIGHT

Join us Friday Night November 20, 2015 for a special shopping event to kick off The Enchanted Forest weekend! This is a great opportunity to get a jump start on your holiday shopping kid free, as well as early access to the buy it now Trees and Gingerbread Houses! We’ll be serving up cocktails and appetizers throughout the night. There will also be door prizes from our boutique vendors and a special holiday performance.

SATURDAY NIGHT GALA

The Not-To-Be-Missed event of The Enchanted Forest weekend! Start off the night with specialty cocktails and tasty hors d’oeuvre while you bid on fabulous silent auction items and catch up with friends. Then come dance the night away with live music at 8p.m., a full buffet dinner and desserts, top shelf open bar, and the ever popular “Heads or Tails” with a coveted prize this year! Dress is Holiday Chic.
