Holiday craft sale benefit features handcrafted goods from Maine

The annual Holiday Craft Sale at First Congregational Church of Greenwich will offer handcrafted goods from Maine Saturday, Nov. 21, 9-4, and Sunday, Nov. 22, 11-1, at 108 Sound Beach Avenue, Old Greenwich (across from Binney Park). The event is open to the public and all are invited.

Come by and enjoy some Maine hospitality and shopping. Offerings include beautiful handmade quilts, Christmas decorations and gifts, wooden toys, woven scarves, hand knitted sweaters, hats and gloves, pottery, homemade jams, maple syrup and more.

All proceeds benefit H.O.M.E. (Homeworkers Organized for More Employment), which is a craft co-operative working with the rural poor in Hancock County, Maine.

H.O.M.E.’s programs include the operation of a free health clinic, a soup kitchen, and food bank, homeless shelters, learning center with daycare, literacy and GED tutoring, and job and craft training. H.O.M.E. has been an outreach ministry of First Congregational Church for many years. For more information about H.O.M.E., visit
