Monger Mingle at The Hub to benefit Community Plates

The public is invited to celebrate the grand opening of Fleishers Craft Butchery’s first retail shop in Greenwich, while supporting Community Plates on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 7-9 p.m., at The Hub, 160 East Putnam Ave, Cos Cob. The specialty food purveyors of The Hub will stay open late to host an open house event for the community.
Guests are invited to sample fare from specialty food purveyors Fleishers Craft Butchery, Greenwich Cheese Co. and Fjord Fish Market in addition to complimentary tastings of beer and wine, sponsored and poured by Cos Cob Liquors. The event is free and open to the public.

Ten percent of the evening’s proceeds from sales made in the shops will benefit the Fairfield County arm of Community Plates, the non-profit organization committed to ending American food insecurity by directly transferring fresh, usable food that would have otherwise been thrown away from restaurants, markets and other food industry sources to food-insecure families throughout the U.S.
