French TV extends free access to French language network

Customers looking for updates on the terror attacks in Paris can tune into TV5MONDE for free

Frontier Communications announced that TV5MONDE, a 24-hour French-language channel providing updates on Friday’s terror attacks in Paris, will continue to offer free service to customers through Saturday, Nov. 21.

Frontier customers in Connecticut can tune to Channel 3832 on Frontier TV to watch TV5MONDE without any additional subscription fees.

“TV5MONDE contacted us to let us know they wanted the channel available without subscription at a time when our customers are seeking information and the latest updates from their homeland during this time of uncertainty,” said Paul Quick, SVP and General Manager of CT Operations.

TV5MONDE is a leading French-language channel broadcasting 24/7 without commercial interruption. Over the coming week, many regularly scheduled programs will continue to air, however the network is focusing extra attention on the developing story out of Paris and will be providing critical news coverage for French-speaking viewers.
