Greenwich Alliance for Education’s 5th Annual Turkey Trot

All runners and walkers are invited to participate in the Greenwich Alliance for Education’s 5th Annual Turkey Trot, to be held on Saturday, Nov. 28. The 1 mile fun run/walk will start at 9:30am and the 5K will start at 10 a.m.

Beginning early October, those interested can register online at greenwichalliance.org. Registration fee is $25 per adult ($35 race day) and $10 per child 14 and under ($15 race day). The first 200 online registrants will receive a $5 gift card to Garden Catering. T-shirts and goody bags will be given to runners registered by Wednesday, Nov. 18.

All proceeds from the Turkey Trot will benefit the Alliance’s programs that aim to foster educational success for Greenwich Public School students. The Alliance has three main programs: “Going Places With Books”, early literacy program delivered aboard our Storymobile; “Tuning In To Music”, free instrumental music lessons for students unable to afford this opportunity; “Reaching Out Grants”, grants awarded to fund innovative programs in our schools.
