A celebration of success was in order for some worthy members of Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich (BGCG) on April 11.

Sixteen club members and volunteers were publicly recognized for their outstanding leadership, community service and sportsmanship.

More than 150 supporters and friends, including special guests Selectman Dave Theis, State Rep. Fred Camillo (R-151st) and Superintendent of Schools William McKersie, packed the house for BGCG’s Awards Night celebration.

Awards Night recipients included Francis X. McGinty Youth of the Year Award winner Alleyha Dannett; Knuckles for life Award winner Ryan Accurso; Athlete of the Year Award winner Jenny Cespedes; Camp Simmons Award winner Katie Piro; Clubhouse Summer Camp Award winner Gabrielle Catalano; Fine Arts Achievement Award winner Anika Gupta; Jackie Joyner Kersie Award winner Lauren Doyle; James R. Natale Swimmer of the Year Award winner Caroline Schultz;  Joanna Schulman Teen Community Service Award winner Julia Tedesco;  Junior Boy Athlete of the Year Award winner Jeffrey Enamorado; Junior Girl Athlete of the Year Award winner Violet Mikalopas; Junior Swimmer of the Year Award winner Jack Jee; Lillian Butler Davey Education Volunteer Award winner Claudia Rupnik; Midget Member of the Year Award winner Chloe Smith; Project Learn Award winner Hailey Villanueva and Theater Arts Award winner Julia Bibeault.
