Volunteers needed for Abilis Walk In the Park

Abilis is looking for volunteers to help out at their 10th annual Walk in the Park Sunday, Oct. 18.

The walk consists of a one mile stroll (or roll) through beautiful Greenwich Point Park (Tod’s Point) to benefit the children and adults in the Greenwich-Stamford area with developmental disabilities. There will be food trucks, a bouncy castle, face painting and more.

Check-in and children’s activities begin at 10:30 a.m.; walk at noon.

Volunteers are needed to help set up, break down, and be present to provide assistance during the walk.

Abilis is a Greenwich-based, non-profit organization that provides support and advocacy for individuals with special needs from birth through the lifespan. The Walk for Abilis is a fundraising and awareness building event that attracts hundreds of individuals throughout Fairfield County. It is designed for individuals of all ages and abilities and includes a one-mile walk, family-friendly activities, and food tents.
