Shore Road will be closed Sept. 8

Shore Road in Greenwich will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 8, as part of the ongoing bridge project. The bridge is located near the intersection of Shore Road and Horseneck Lane.

The road closure is expected to last approximately six weeks.

The project was designed by WMC Consulting Engineers of Newington. The construction is being completed by A. Vitti Excavators, LLC of Stamford.

The following detour will be established:

Traffic wanting to travel southbound on Shore Road shall take Horseneck Lane to Field Point Road to Intervale Place to Shore Road.

Traffic wanting to travel northbound on Shore Road shall utilize Intervale Place to Field Point Road.
