Synchrony Financial will serve as presenting sponsor for fifth annual Pro-Am Gala

USTA Foundation, the national charitable organization of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and Connecticut Alliance for Tennis and Education announced that they have partnered with Synchrony Financial (NYSE: SYF), one of the premier consumer financial services businesses in the U.S., making the Stamford, Conn. based company the presenting sponsor for the fifth annual Connecticut Pro-Am and Gala. The event will take place Friday, Aug. 28, at the Stanwich Club in Greenwich, Conn.

“Synchrony Financial is honored to be the lead sponsor of this year’s USTA Foundation Pro-Am and Gala, the first time this event has been held in Connecticut,” said Margaret Keane, President and CEO of Synchrony Financial. “Our kids are our future and we must do everything in our power to nurture their growth and development. As a Connecticut-based company, we are thrilled to support the USTA Foundation’s mission to help deliver tennis, education, health and wellness, social and emotional development to the youth of Connecticut and beyond.”

“On behalf of the USTA Foundation and CT Alliance, we want to thank Synchrony Financial for sponsoring our Pro-Am and Gala,” said Dan Faber, Executive Director, USTA Foundation. “We are proud to have such a successful company as our presenting sponsor, and commend them for understanding the importance of integrating tennis with education to generate a lasting impact on youth not only residing in Connecticut but also around the country.

The Pro-Am and the Gala will serve to raise money to help fund The USTA Foundation’s commitment to improving the quality of life among our nation’s youth, military heroes and people with disabilities through tennis and education, and The Alliance’s mission to support local Community Tennis Associations that serve thousands of youth throughout Connecticut.

Individual player packages and sponsorship opportunities are currently available at www.CTProAm.com.

To date, the USTA Foundation has awarded more than $19 million, benefitting thousands through tennis, college scholarships, and education and health programs. The Connecticut Alliance for Tennis and Education is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that supports local Community Tennis Associations that, through tennis and higher education opportunities, annually serve more than 1,000 children who live in economically challenged communities within various cities in Connecticut.
