When the Beacon School recognized its need to expand in order to accommodate the demands of the school community, it was fortunate to procure this unique space for its new location. Formerly the home of Mother of God Academy, the beautiful Hubbard Mansion is located in the Hubbard Heights section of Stamford, one block from Stamford Hospital.  Incorporating elements from the original 1890 structure as well as its subsequent expansion, the building contains bright classrooms, a library, a gymnasium, a performance space, expansive meeting rooms, and ample grounds. The site also includes a separate building for the lower school program and housing for international students.

The Beacon School is an accredited, coed, college preparatory independent day school for intellectually curious students in grades 3-12. Operating at the intersection of progressive and traditional education, Beacon employs a gifted ed model to cultivate talent and kindle a passion for learning. Beacon’s core curriculum is aligned with that of other elite private schools, while its approach is personalized, with a 3:1 student to teacher ratio and individualized programs. Through small-group instruction in a community of inspired learners, Beacon students achieve academic excellence while following their own unique paths.
