‘Jersey Boys’ reunite at Greenwich benefit

Members of the highly acclaimed original cast from the Broadway smash Jersey Boys will be reuniting for a good cause at the 21st annual Benefit Dinner for The Inner-City Foundation For Charity & Education will be Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich.

The Midtown Men, four stars from the original Broadway cast of Jersey Boys, will headline as the featured performers at the black tie gala. Tony Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer, will star in this one-of-a-kind concert experience bringing to life their favorite songs from the 1960’s.

The concert will feature their performance of legendary hits from The Beatles and The Beach Boys, the biggest hits of Motown and, of course, The Four Seasons, which is something they specialized in naturally during Jersey Boys. During their time on Broadway in the beloved musical Jersey Boys, these four talented artists shared the stage for over a thousand performances and delighted television audiences with appearances on the Today Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve.

Greenwich residents Barbara and Ray Dalio will serve as the event Sponsors. Jennifer and Peter Cieszko of New Canaan will chair the 2012 Benefit Committee with assistance by Greenwich residents Audrey and Daniel Dornier, Helen and Dan FitzPatrick, Leah and Alain Lebec, Vilma and Dick Matteis, and Bill Mitchell of Westport, who are serving as co-chairs of the Benefit Committee.

Archbishop William E. Lori, who served in that post in Connecticut before being transferred to Baltimore as well as a past president of the foundation, will be honored at the event.

During his tenure as foundation president more than $18 million in grants was awarded to nearly 150 agencies and institutions providing assistance, including food, clothing, shelter, counseling and education, to at-risk and needy children and adults of Fairfield County.

Dave Price, a five-time Emmy Award winner and anchor for WNYW Good Day New York, will serve as master of ceremonies.
