Civic center open house to be held Sunday

According to the town’s Department of Parks and Recreation, the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center will be showcasing its fall programs with an open house on Sunday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During this event, people will have a chance to check out the layout of the civic center as well as preview several of the programs offered there. The programs that will be featured during the open house are for children eight months to 12 years old.

The preview includes Just Wee Two — Mommy and Me programs, children’s dance programs with Dance Pointe, girls indoor field hockey, youth basketball, children’s music classes featuring Music for Aardvarks, children’s French and Spanish classes, Jack Rabbits Gymnastics and Soccer with Aldwin, which will do a soccer demo and have his bounce houses available for the children to play in.

Additionally there will be two children’s concerts featuring Groove Music at 11 a.m. and Graham Clarke at noon.

During the open house, people can drop in anytime, speak to the instructors, get registration forms, and enjoy a free day of trial classes. No registration is necessary.
