Wine & Cheese fest benefits symphony

The Greenwich Symphony will host friends and wine lovers at its annual Wine & Cheese Festival on Friday, Oct. 19 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Richards of Greenwich.

The event will support the 32nd season of the symphony’s Young People’s Concert series for students in Greenwich public and independent schools and will feature more than 75 wines selected by Theresa Rogers Matthews of Horseneck Wine & Liquor, paired with an array of gourmet cheeses and passed delicacies. There will also be a table of premium wines produced by Connecticut home vintners and a silent auction will feature select wines and wine-related items for bidding.

There will be music performed by the Lucky 37 Jazz Quartet, led by Larry Spivack, principal percussionist of the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra. Tickets start at $200 and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
