Reminder: Sidewalk signs not permitted

Greenwich Chamber of Commerce has been asked by the Town of Greenwich to remind members that businesses are not permitted to put signs on the sidewalk outside their stores or offices.

Section 6-166 of the Greenwich Municipal Code states “All signs that are on the public right of way are expressly prohibited…” with the only exceptions being for certain non-commercial activities (such as public safety).

This request came with a hint that an enforcement sweep may be in the offing.
