Woman struck, killed by train at Cos Cob Station in Greenwich

A 28-year-old Connecticut woman was struck and killed by a train pulling into the Cos Cob station Friday morning as she was attempting to retrieve a wallet or handbag from the tracks, according to the Metro-North Commuter Railroad, according to the Hartford Courant.

The person, who has not been identified, was hit by an express train traveling from Greenwich to Stamford at 9:30 a.m., a Metro-North spokesperson said.
