Glenville Road closed after tree hits utility pole

UPDATED WEDNESDAY 9:00 AM — Glenville Road has reopened.

A fallen tree that damaged a utility pole on Glenville Road has shut down the road between Valley Drive and Huntzinger Drive, according to Public Information Officer Lt. Kraig Gray.

At approximately 1p.m. a large tree fell on the utility pole, causing localized power outages for homes nearby. The tree has since been removed and crews are still working on repairing the utility lines in the area.

A detour through Weaver Street has been set up and no estimated time has been given as to when Glenville Road will reopen.
