Greenwich Library offers free workshops on Medicare and Memory

Greenwich Library staff have several unique programs planned for September. The Library is offering a free seminar on Medicare options and, together with the Greenwich Senior Center, the memory workshop series, Super Noggin™.

The Greenwich Library Health Information Center provides privacy and access to resources and information on a variety of health related topics. The Center houses more than 100 reference books, 40 periodicals, four medical databases, a health-focused bulletin board and two dedicated printer-enabled workstations. A full-time Health Librarian is available to help patrons utilize Library resources.

Thursday, Sept. 24, 6:30-7:45 p.m., Mystified by Medicare?

Unsure if you’re paying too much for Medicare coverage? Or worse, paying too little and receiving less than optimal coverage? Does it make sense to review your existing coverage during Medicare’s annual election period? Learn how to evaluate the different choices and plans to find the coverage that meets your needs and budget.

Jennifer Lavelli is an AHIP certified Medicare solutions advisor and Long Term Care specialist. A frequent lecturer in the tri-state area, Jennifer helps people understand and plan for Medicare and Long-Term Care.

This program is open to all at no charge and will be held in the Library Meeting Room.

Mondays beginning Sept. 28, 5:30-7 p.m., Super Noggin™

This popular brain-health series for ages 55+ will be offered for nine consecutive weeks beginning Monday, Sept. 28 and ending Monday, Nov. 30.
