Greenwich seniors visit Camp Gan of Israel

On Wednesday, July 22 Camp Gan Israel campers hosted Greenwich Senior Citizens to join them for cooking activities, card playing, bingo, singing of camp songs and light hearted intergenerational quality time. The campers learned the importance of respecting their elders, serving others in the wider community and practicing the art of hospitality.

Charitable outreach to Greenwich’s Seniors is an important yearly summer activity that Camp Gan Israel of Greenwich campers carry out.

Camp Gan Israel of Greenwich is an 18-year-old day camp run by Chabad Lubavitch of Greenwich. The camp is the largest and fastest growing day camp in Greenwich. It is located on the tree-lined grounds of Carmel Academy at 270 Lake Avenue. Campers learn and practice community-building and community service projects along with their bunk counselors. Doing good deeds is part and parcel of an innovative curriculum that fosters compassion, charity and kindness.
