Oct. 20 Greenwich Hospital gala is ‘roaring’

Greenwich Hospital is traveling back to “The Roaring 20’s” for its annual gala on Oct. 20.

Television personality Paula Zahn will be the master of ceremonies for the gala, which will be held at Greenwich Country Club starting at 6 p.m. It will feature an evening of auctions and dancing to music by Don Scantlin and his Imperial Palms Orchestra. Members of the Mitchell Family from the Mitchell Family of Stores, including Richards of Greenwich, will be presented with the President’s Award for their years of dedicated support to Greenwich Hospital.

The executive producer and host of On the Case with Paula Zahn on Discovery, Ms. Zahn will bring her star power to the event which will benefit the Emergency Department at Greenwich Hospital. In 2011, the department provided state-of-the-art emergency services on 43,000 occasions and 20% of the services were for children.

“We are thrilled and honored to have Paula Zahn as our host for the evening. Paula is not only a friend of the Mitchell family but she is also a loyal supporter of Greenwich Hospital,” said Giovanna Miller, who is co-chairing the event with Aundrea Amine
