Animal shelter open house

Greenwich Animal Control, which serves as a shelter for the town’s animals up for adoption, will hold an open house on Sunday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

And this isn’t just a chance to see the new building. This is also a chance for people looking for a furry pal to see the animals up for adoption. The need is great for these friendly, loving animals to find a home because the shelter is filled to capacity with dogs and cats for adoption.

Anyone who can provide a loving home to these animals is urged to stop by the shelter, have some cookies and meet the furry friends up for adoption. And animal lovers are also being urged to spread the word about all the animals available for adoption so Animal Control can find good homes for these wonderful animals.

The shelter is located at 393 North Street, next door to the North Street Elementary School. Friends of Felines will also be on hand for the event, teaming up with Animal Control with a collection of great adoptable cats.
