The Bruce goes outdoors for last weekend's arts festival

The weather might not have entirely cooperated, but a little rain didn’t dampen any spirits at last weekend’s outdoor arts festival at the Bruce Museum.

The weekend-long event attracted more than 80 artists to the museum grounds from all over the country. There were many mediums of art on display at the juried event. Paintings, photography, drawings, prints, sculptures, and mixed media pieces were all on display along with the artists, who were only too happy to explain their methods and techniques.

The pieces in the festival were for sale during the weekend.

But there wasn’t just art to appreciate during the weekend. The Bruce was open all through the weekend, allowing people to check out the rest of the museum’s offerings when the wet weather drove them inside on Sunday, and there were also food, music and family activities throughout Saturday and Sunday.
