It’s been a year of celebration for the Greenwich Council of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and on Saturday, Oct. 13, it is time for Camp Centennial.

This is the culmination of the Greenwich scouts celebrating 100 years at event and it will take place at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich. This camping themed party, which has been 100 years in the making, includes cocktails and an dinner around the campfire.

Entertainment will be provided by an actor portraying Ernest Thompson Seton serving as the master of ceremonies and words about the high adventure future of scouting from Jack Furst, a well-known philanthropist and president of Project Arrow, the company developing the BSA’s 10,600 acre Summit Bechtel Reserve. And the scouts have promised “a magical ending to the night” from world-renowned illusionist Bill Herz.
