Sacred Heart volleyball shuts out Hopkins School, 3-0

The Convent of the Sacred Heart volleyball team made quick work out of Hopkins School yesterday afternoon, winning 3-0 (25-9, 25-12, 25-18).

Alex Jordan led the Tigers with her all-around game, picking up seven service points, four aces, two kills and five digs. Teammate Maggie Elison added nine service points, six digs and two aces, while Deon Hoffman pitched in with 13 service points, six aces and five digs. Grace McKenney rounded out the scoring for Sacred Heart with nine service points and five aces.

With the victory, Sacred Heart upped its overall record to 7-2 on the season and will take a week off before resuming play in a big way. On Oct. 10, the Tigers will battle crosstown rival and FAA foe Greenwich Academy.
