Cycle for Survival opens registration

The event might not take place until March, but it’s never to early to join the battle against rare cancers by registering to ride with your friends and family in Cycle for Survival.

This nationwide indoor team cycling event has raised more than $17 million in six years and is driving research led by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center into rare cancers, such as pancreatic cancer, sarcoma and ovarian cancer, benefiting patients all over the world.

The event takes place Sunday, March 3, 2013 but registration is open now for the 8 a.m. to noon event that will take place at Equinox Greenwich at 16 Old Track Road.

Teams register to ride for a four hour shift, with a maximum of eight riders per bike. Teams may register multiple bikes. The event also features complimentary yoga classes, massage therapy and children’s activities.

As the nation’s oldest and largest private cancer research and treatment institution, Memorial Sloan-Kettering treats more than 400 different types of cancer and is leading advances in cancer research and treatments, including into the rarest forms of the disease, benefiting patients worldwide.
