Cathleen Smith, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Connecticut and Westchester County, N.Y., announced that Joseph Valvano, managing broker of the company’s offices in Greenwich and Old Greenwich, was recently honored with the prestigious President’s Council award.

Mr. Valvano was invited to join other award recipients and select management for a special three-day retreat at The Breakers Palm Beach in Florida in early August.

The President’s Council award is an annual honor given by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s parent company, NRT, to recognize the top-performing branch managers of 710 offices nationwide who demonstrate exemplary leadership and management skills. Mr. Valvano has been recognized with this award numerous times. Additionally, the Greenwich office was ranked as the No. 2 top-performing office in the NRT network nationwide for its exceptional performance in 2013. Branch managers from across the country traveled to The Breakers to attend business strategy sessions and to network with colleagues.
