Greenwich can be a voice in the majority party in Hartford

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

Imagine that voters in the 150th Assembly District send a Democrat to the legislature for the first time in 100 years.

How would the majority party react to having one of their own from Greenwich? Do you think it might break the cliché image of deep-pockets Greenwich and make them see there are people in this town who live in subsidized housing, who can’t afford to pay for pre-K schooling for their kids and who rely on public transportation?

Maybe having our town’s voice in Democratic discussions would be a good thing.

Or will we end up doing the same old same old?
