Greenwich girls volleyball shuts down Trinity Catholic, 3-0

The Greenwich High School girls volleyball team got back to its winning ways Wednesday afternoon by blitzing Trinity Catholic High School, 3-0.

For Greenwich, they were led by Abbie Wolf, who finished with 15 kills and two blocks. Not to be outdone was Samantha Schecter, who added six kills. Micaela Lew netted nine digs and seven points.

The Crusaders were led by Elle Smyth’s seven kills, 10 digs and four aces. Leah Zarilli grabbed 10 assists and nine digs, while Emily Dardis pitched in with six kills, six digs and three points.

With the victory, Greenwich ended its two-game losing streak and improved to 11-4 on the season, while Trinity Catholic fell to 5-9.
