The Greenwich Symphony will host its annual Wine & Cheese Festival on Friday, Oct. 17, at Richards of Greenwich.

The festival will benefit more than 6,000 students in grades two through seven in Greenwich public and independent schools, who will have the opportunity to explore their classical music heritage through live symphonic performances of the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra. Honored guest at the event will be Susan Larkin, in recognition of her years of dedicated service to the Greenwich community.

The event promises to be a festive evening, featuring tastings of more than 75 exceptional wines selected by Horseneck Wines & Liquors. Guests will also enjoy an impressive selection of premier cheeses from around the world, hors d’oeuvres from Crew Restaurant and Morello Italian Bistro and dessert from Aux Delices Foods.

As in previous years, there will be a table of premium wines produced by Connecticut home vintners, for tasting and for sale. Experienced local wine producers will be available to discuss the winemaking process and their wines. Larry Spivack’s “Lucky 37” Jazz Quartet will entertain throughout the evening. Mr. Spivack is Principal Percussionist of the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra.

Chair of the Festival is Corinta N. Ciano Kotula, GSO Vice President of Corporate Funding. Tickets start at $100. To purchase tickets or for more information, call 203-869-2664 or 203-661-9897, or see Greenwichsymphony.org.
