Rafferty named Ketchum CEO

Greenwich resident Barri Rafferty was named CEO of North America for Ketchum, a leading global public relations firm.

Ms. Rafferty is a senior partner at Ketchum and previously served as director of the agency’s New York office, which not only is the agency’s largest office but serves as its global headquarters.

During her tenure at Ketchum, Ms. Rafferty led two of the agency’s North American operations, New York and the South, which comprises Atlanta and Dallas, as well as the firm’s Global Brand Marketing Practice. Recently, she also headed the team responsible for the reorganization and subsequent growth of the agency’s digital business.

She is known for her ability to counsel clients on integrated communications and branding initiatives leveraging experiential, online and mainstream communications solutions. As CEO of North America, Ms. Rafferty will have management responsibility for all Ketchum offices in the U.S. and Canada and will also continue to oversee the firm’s digital and social advancement as well as Ketchum Digital and serve on the firm’s Executive Committee.

Ms. Rafferty and her family are very active in the Greenwich community, her husband David Rafferty is president of the Old Greenwich Association and is currently running for State Representative in the 151st district. They have a son, Aidan, 17, a senior at Greenwich High School and a daughter, Morgan, 13, who attends Eastern Middle School.
