Off-Beat Players hold auditions for ‘Bye Bye Birdie’

Off-Beat Players will hold auditions for their summer musical, Bye Bye Birdie, book by Michael Stewart, music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Lee Adams, originally produced by Edward Padula, produced by arrangement with TAMS-WITMARK MUSIC LIBRARY, INC., 560 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10022.

Auditions will be held on June 19, from 6-8 p.m., at the Arch Street Teen Center in Greenwich. Callbacks on Monday, June 22, at 6 p.m.

Show dates are Aug. 5, 6, 7, 8.

Off-Beat Players is a nonprofit organization based in Greenwich. It brings together teens and young adults with and without developmental disabilities to produce and perform in a fully-staged musical with a live orchestra. Some of the members have performed together since 2001 in shows including Nunsense, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Willy Wonka, Urinetown, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Spamalot.
