Named American Society of Interior Designers Fellow

Trudy Dujardin, FASID, LEED AP + ID + C, has received the highest distinction a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) can receive, and will henceforth be designated as an ASID Fellow, with the letters FASID to follow her name. Each year, the Society bestows the title of Fellow to individuals who demonstrate outstanding service and contributions to the Society, the profession, and the interior design community.

“Trudy has been recognized for her significant contribution toward improving the built environment and its effect on the human experience,” said Sonya Dufner, FASID, chair of the ASID Council of Fellows and principal and director of workplace strategy at Gensler. “Trudy is a trailblazer in our industry and, through her contributions to our profession and dedication to design, has made a far-reaching impact on the quality of our lives.”

Remarking on Ms. Dujardin’s selection, Annette Stelmack, founding principal of Inspirit-llc, a sustainable design consultancy firm in Louisville, Colo., said, “Trudy is a passionate educator on environmental issues. She is involved with some of the nation’s leading organizations dedicated to protecting the environment.”

The ASID Awards Gala will take place Saturday, July 18, at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, with a presentation of the 2015 ASID National Award winners and Fellows. In addition to Trudy Dujardin, other Fellows to be inducted include Edward Bottomley, ASID, Joan Kaufman, ASID, Jean Pinto, ASID, CID, and Patrick Schmidt, ASID, RID.
