There will be a leisurely walk around Greenwich Point to view birds in their habitats Sunday, May 3, 9-11:30, at Greenwich Point Park, Old Greenwich. Meet near the main concession stand by the flagpole

Program is free, but a beach card is required for Park entry May 1-Nov. 30.

Celebrate the spring migration of birds in a family friendly program at Greenwich Point Park organized by the Bruce Museum Sunday, May 3, 1:30-4.

• 1:45 p.m. “Loons Come First: Understanding Bird Field Guides” Robin Jones, Bruce Museum Zvi Grunberg Fellow

• 2:30 p.m. “Purple Martin Walk and Talk” Mike Aureila, wetland scientist and originator of the purple martin gourds at Greenwich Point

• 3:15 p.m. “Wildlife Rehabilitation” and live bird release by Dara Reid, Wildlife in Crisis

Plus, close up views of taxidermied bird specimens and Mother’s Day Card craft project for children.

The event is free and takes place at the Floren Family Environmental Center at Innis Arden Cottage at Greenwich Point Park. For free Park admission for the event, register by email at [email protected] or call 203-413-6756 by Friday, May 1.
