Don’t miss a ‘beet’

Two years ago, Eagle Hill School in Greenwich used the proceeds from its annual benefit to install an educational garden on its campus. Now, in addition to supplying the school kitchen with fresh produce, the garden has become an interactive outdoor classroom for the faculty and students. Above, students in Ms. Sweeney’s science class, from left, Pierson Husted, Luke Pagano, Aiden Stewart, Teddy Maloney, Tatiana Collins, Grant Kuppenheimer, and Kobe Harkness pick a fresh crop of beets, which have become a new favorite in the school dining room, while learning more about the growing process.
