Eat free pizza, learn about Kids in Crisis

Steven-Fox-JewelryFULLOne of the area’s most unique jewelry stores, Steven Fox Jewelry, will be providing free pizza to the community by hosting a pizza truck on Saturday, May 2, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., in front of the store’s location at 8 Lewis Street, off of Greenwich Avenue. Free pizza will be provided for the neighborhood as a thank you from Steven Fox for their endless support over the years.

The event will be catered by the New Haven Pizza Truck. A pop up café will be created next to the jewelry store, complete with tables for community members to sit and enjoy their thin crust pizza. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about Kids in Crisis and donations will be accepted on behalf of the organization. After the event, the truck will head to Kids in Crisis, where children in residence will receive a free meal courtesy of Steven Fox Jewelry and the New Haven Pizza Truck.

Community members are encouraged to enjoy free food at 8 Lewis Street while learning about the services provided at Kids in Crisis.

Kids in Crisis ( is Connecticut’s only free, round-the-clock agency providing emergency shelter, crisis counseling and community educational programs for children of all ages and families dealing with a wide range of crises – domestic violence, mental health and family problems, substance abuse, economic difficulties and more.  Since its founding in 1978, Kids in Crisis has helped more than 124,000 Connecticut children and families; last year, over 6,000 children and families received assistance from the organization.
