Junior League of Greenwich hosts Clean-Up Day

The Junior League of Greenwich is hosting their third annual Clean-Up Day at the Byram Beach and Park Saturday, May 2, from 9-noon (rain or shine). Junior League’s Greenwich Pool and Byram Park and Done in a Day Committees are partnering with Greenwich Parks and Recreation, Greenwich Green & Clean and the Byram Neighborhood Association for what should be an enjoyable and productive day.

Clean-up tasks will include picking up trash or debris, laying mulch, planting flowers, planting trees or shrubs, and raking and weeding flower beds. Families and children of all ages are welcome. Refreshments will include the fabulous Caffè Bon and a hot dog BBQ hosted by the Byram Shore Boat Club.

Last year’s Clean-Up Day was a tremendous success with over 50 individuals including representatives from the New Lebanon School PTA, Greenwich PTA Council (Green Schools), Town of Greenwich Conservation Commission, Greenwich Land and Trust, and students from local schools (Greenwich High School, Western Middle School, Hamilton Avenue School and New Lebanon Elementary School).

To volunteer, RSVP in advance by sending an email to [email protected]
