Garden Club shares ‘Viewpoint’

The Greenwich Garden Club (GGC) met recently to review entries for its Viewpoint photography show, which will take place Nov. 8 at the Greenwich Arts Council building on Greenwich Avenue.

In the meantime, it’s still accepting entries for Class VI: Click on Greenwich until Sept. 30. The class, which is open to the public and will have both monochrome and color classes. Entry details, complete rules and schedule are available at greenwichgardenclub.org.

Digital images will be juried by a committee to determine six finalists in each class and entrants will be notified that their photograph has been selected for final judging.

The GGC will be celebrating 100 years in Greenwich in 2014 and as part of the centennial celebration it will be partnering with Greenwich Audubon, Garden Education Center and Armstrong Court in various wild flower and native planting projects.

Throughout its history, the GGC has made contributions of time and resources to projects pertaining to civic improvement, conservation and educational initiatives. The net proceeds of the Viewpoint photography show will become part of the GGC civic funds.
