Brunswick hockey beats New Hampton, 6-4

The Brunswick School ice hockey team, still yet to lose two consecutive games this season, beat a pesky New Hampton squad, 6-4, over the weekend in frigid northern New Hampshire.

Senior captains Mike Faulkner and Tommy Dunleavy, juniors Nick VanBelle and Jack Stephenson and sophomore Matt Holmes each had multiple point performances to lead the Bruins’ offensive attack.

Defensively Brunswick’s group of four: Faulkner, senior Maxim Masiulis, junior Max Fuld, and freshman Patrick Burkinshaw limited the Huskies to 23 shots on goal.

Senior goaltender Matteo Esposito made several key stops, and 19 in all, when the game’s result was still in jeopardy.

The Bruins put 43 shots on cage.

As of this writing, the Bruins sit in 10th place in the New England prep standings and would be the No.2 seed in the Large School Tournament.

Up next for the Bruins will be Albany on Wednesday.
