Brunswick bests Hoosac School 4-1 for seventh straight win

The Brunswick School ice hockey team defeated former Division II rival Hoosac School, 4-1 in a game played at Hartong Rink Saturday evening.

The No. 7 ranked Bruins, winners of seven straight tilts, put 54 shots on net in a heavily one-sided contest, but struggled to light the lamp against a talented Owls’ goaltender.

Junior Matt Sealy had a pair of goals, and classmate Nick VanBelle netted a power play tally, to pace the Bruins’ offensive attack.

Now off for exams, Brunswick returns to action a week from Saturday against The Hill School. Faceoff at Hartong is set for 5 p.m.
